Red Hook Ballfields 5-8

NYC Department of Design & Construction - The reconstruction of these 4 baseball fields was necessitated by an EPA consent order to clean up the lead contaminated soil. LAWS Construction stockpiled and properly disposed of contaminated soils. An onsite stormwater detention system was installed as well as a substantial drainage system throughout. Also included were water lines installation, dugout construction, fencing, demarcation layer, concrete steps and synthetic turf baseball fields. Spray fixtures, benches and new sidewalks enhance the enjoyability of this park. The final product was a beautiful and much safer upgrade to the existing park.
